#Hellpoint where to go after observatory series
You have been created by the Author, organically printed on Irid Novo and sent on a mission to find out the unholy series of events that led to the catastrophic incident known as the Merge. Its ruins are now overrun by cruel interdimensional entities acting as puppets of the malevolent Cosmic Gods. Once a pinnacle of human achievement, the Irid Novo space station has fallen. If you want a new challenge, want to explore a mysterious new setting in a familiar gameplay style, and play some infuriating couch co-op (or socially distanced online gaming) with a friend, this is a solid pick-up in a suddenly crowded genre. Hellpoint is a bit more than a loving homage to Dark Souls, offering up just enough small, unique changes to keep it from being a total clone.

It might be weird to imagine a Souls game you can play with your mate on a couch, but it makes for a good date night if you wanna crack skulls with a loved one. It can even kill you if you don’t have enough health, so it comes with its own risks. However, it will cost you half your health. If they fall in combat, you can revive them.

With another profile, your friend can have their character jump into your match to help with those more difficult fights. The one thing that makes Hellpoint stand out is something that you don’t often see in the Soulslike genre: split screen co-op. However, the game unfortunately falls short of being truly amazing due to several unpolished elements. Its stunning aesthetic alone should grab your interest. Hellpoint is absolutely a game to try out if you’re a fan of the Souls-like genre and especially Bloodborne. However, your gameplay experience is easily affected by numerous unpolished features, ridiculously long loading screens, frame rate issues, and other annoying elements. This aesthetic is reflected perfectly in its world and boss design. It takes its own unique spin on the Souls-like genre by mixing science fiction and cosmic horror together. Overall, Hellpoint is a beautiful game set in a horrific and unsettling world. Nevertheless, Hellpoint is certainly up there in my favorite Soulslikes that didn't come directly from Miyazaki's teams and I can recommend it to anyone that's willing to put up with some jank for the sake of rewarding exploration. The performance, regardless of platform, is a major sore spot for this ambitious action RPG and keeps it from being a much more recommendable experience. If Hellpoint is to be remembered in the pantheon of Soulslikes, let it be for the exploration and secrets hidden throughout Irid Novo. I'll probably put the game down for a while and go back to it in a few months with a fresh run, and see if I can't finally finish his quest. Some reviews for Hellpoint and a beginners guide from Polygon to get you started. I hope it gets fixed but even if it does it probably won't fix my save file, nor do I have the patience to wait around for the game to get patched. My heart goes out to anyone else experiencing this frustrating glitch. He still refuses to go to the Observatory making his quest unbeatable.Ĭonsidering how much time I sunk into this playthrough (More than 48 hours and ( ending spoilers) on my 3rd 'loop' after sacrificing my data first run and defeating the final boss the second run) this is about as infuriating as a bug gets.

A lot of posts here seem to assume it's an issue with where you are in the quest and not having enough data but if you're in the same boat as me he doesn't respond with anything other than 'Stay safe' despite the fact that I've spoken with him in the Observatory and done his quest stuff: turned on the power (although I have no idea how you're supposed to figure the code out, even before he returned to Sohn District he wouldn't tell me and I just eventually looked it up) and crafted the AI part. Point is, I know I've done pretty much everything in his questline, and talked to him plenty. When he finished it he said he was going to the Observatory (again) but instead just went back to the control room (again) and refuses to leave. Anyway he asked me to do his 'get to his workshop' quest a second time, which I did. This might be what triggered him to go back to the Sohn District Control Room, but that's just speculation based off of the other two instances of the bug also having high data levels.

Spoke with him there about the next steps but I lacked the components to continue so I left and did a bunch of other stuff in the game and reached like 150% data. I did his side quest in Sohn District and he went to the Observatory. For me, it happened after the Architect was already at the Observatory.
